TOLOnews, alternatively better known as Tolo News-ط<|start_header_id|>ledge‌نیوز, is a very well-acknowledged Afghani news channel and a website headquartered in Kabul. TOLOnews was launched in August of 2010 by Moby Media Group. It is also the first Afghan media to have introduced Afghanistan to its very first 24-hour news channel.

TOLO News is locally, nationally, and internationally broadcast, making it better positioned to cater to the viewers' interests domestically and globally. It broadcasts in local languages, Dari and Pashto, while also broadcasting in English, enabling it to bring a wide variety of perspectives and updates in terms of news about current events. History
Launched as a subsidiary to TOLO, TOLOnews was targeted at the emerging need for constant news. It has been crucial in Afghanistan's media since ownership by Afghan Australian businessman Saad Mohseni. Lotfullah Najafizada was the Director of News for this channel since 2010 from 2021 and named a Press Freedom Hero by Reporters Without Borders in 2016.

TOLOnews has gained immense international attention, especially after the fall of Kabul on August 15, 2021, and with it the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan came to power. Recently, it has been in the news wherein a Taliban spokesman was interviewed by a female journalist to show its commitment to journalistic integrity.

Despite facing serious challenges, even actual attacks on its staff and reiterated threats to operations, TOLOnews is resolute: "Its channel continues broadcasting defiantly despite Taliban pressures as it said committed to providing credible news.".
